In honor of Veterans Day here in the U.S., we’d like to highlight something we’re very proud of at the Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology: our Research Experience for Veterans (REV) program.

The National Science Foundation “recognizes that veterans represent a potential underutilized workforce for the U.S. science and engineering research and industry communities.”^1,2 Our REV program is one small effort toward addressing this problem. Veterans who participate in the program have the opportunity to do research in a CSN lab for course credit during the school year, and a few students also receive a stipend to do 10 weeks of research at one of the our member institutions over the summer.
